During a cold winter night, Coco Bolos was blaring with the band Los Yumas. The band was located on the patio, where a sizable crowd drew. For two years, the band has been performing in Manhattan with their ever-present wide smiles.
“We typically have five (people) including a singer, but it varies because of the versatility of Latin music,” said Jeremey, the band leader.
Spicy Latin music was served along with the smell of delicious tacos. A small grill was located inside, casting heat into the atmosphere. Low-hanging dim red lights only added to the humble warmth.
Because it was a Thursday night, Coco Bolos was serving $5 margaritas. Combine this with the live music, and the place was hopping. Hardly any seats were left to watch Los Yumas. People were trying to film the band.
